Eco-Garden at St. Mary Magdalene

For those that were at the May Meeting, you may remember, Gracie Callea a young woman who is passionate about caring for our planet spoke. She is going to assist in building an Eco-Garden at St. Mary Magdalene. She asked for our help in collecting supplies.

Our ask: Please collect the items you have access to from Gracie's extensive list, and bring those items to our Wed. June 18th 5 PM meeting, Officer Installation & after party.

Update: In an effort to help Gracie and continue to support CPO's ongoing needs, Darcy Hull is working to collect a massive amount of soft plastic at CPO that is usable waste for her project.

Background: The plastic grocery bags we collect at the parish from you and other parishioners are a critical need for CPO as food items are constantly repacked to family size amounts for distribution.

CPO has to pay for grocery bags when we don't have enough donated. So, please bring your empty grocery bags (only) to church and place them in the CPO bins under the covered drive thru.

Darcy collects them from the bins and brings them to CPO.  ....IN RETURN, Darcy will bring from CPO 100 times more soft plastic for Gracie to fill the eco bricks with.

CPO acquires plenty of soft plastic waste as cases of canned goods are wrapped in plastic, large pallets of food come plastic wrapped for stability in shipping.

This plan is a win for Gracie's project, the kids who get to experience the school's new garden, and CPO.

  • Volunteers are on site at CPO Mon.- Sat. ( No Tues.) 8:30 AM -12:30 PM

  • Text Darcy if you're interested in helping out at CPO.

Dec 2024 Advent Bake Sale & Gift Bazar Prep Team

Fall 2025

Advent Bake Sale & Gift Bazaar

Our biggest fundraiser of the year! We need all of you to make this event a success - every effort, no matter how small it may seem to you, counts!

We encourage our newer ladies who have joined us this year, to jump in and join the fun. We promise you it will be worthwhile and you'll get to know many of your sisters and parishioners.

AND, beyond the selling and donations we will earn, this sale has become a warm, joyful, community-building annual event for StMM, adults and children alike. As Columbiettes, we have the opportunity to show everyone who we are and how we serve.
